Did you know if you are having trouble paying your mortgage payments you can ask your mortgage company for a mortgage modification?

I really suggest you check out MakingHomeAffordable .gov this website will walk you through speaking to your current mortgage provider about a possible modification. I can not promise you that you will get your mortgage payment lowered, but you will never know unless you ask. Please do whatever you can to avoid foreclosure. If you do believe you are headed towards foreclosure please contact one of the 800 plus attorneys who have volunteered to work for homeowners pro-bono. The pro-bono legal services are available to you by calling the MD Hope hotline at 877-462-7555. The state of Maryland created this task force to help you keep your home.
